Mr. Tafaro is the CEO of Exceptional Risk Advisors, an outsourcing partner to trusted advisors, providing innovative insurance programs for their exceptional clients. Exceptional Risk’s clients include an elite list of financial advisors, CPA’s, CFP’s, advanced life and disability insurance specialists, family offices, private banks and other trusted advisors.

Prior to founding Exceptional Risk Advisors, Mr. Tafaro was the President and Chief Operating Officer of The Hanleigh Companies – an industry leading underwriter of insurance for entertainers, professional athletes and highly compensated executives. In 1999, Hanleigh was named the first ever US-based Lloyd’s broker. Mr. Tafaro’s underwriting authority at Lloyd’s was $50,000,000 per individual risk for personal accident insurance, making him one of the most empowered underwriters in the industry. During his tenure, Hanleigh, managed a year over year growth rate in excess of 25%. Hanleigh was acquired by The BISYS Group (BSG - NYSE) in 2002.
